Coach Tyler Seidel’s roots are in Woodbury, MN (via Jacksonville, FL and St Louis, MO) where he grew up playing for Woodbury SC and Woodbury High School. After a successful college career at Augsburg, he moved into the coaching ranks where he has run teams at the club, high school and college levels.
He has acquired numerous licenses over his 20 years of coaching, including a USSF National “B” license as well as a National Youth License. He also holds a PACT (Parents and Coaches Together) certification from MYSA (MN Youth Soccer) and a State Coaching Certificate from TOP soccer.
Coach Seidel has twice been awarded for his coaching acumen, having been named the MIAC Assistant Coach of the Year and the Boys Competitive Coach of the year in the MYSA. A recent newlywed, Coach Seidel and his wife, Karsin, live in Golden Valley.
Coach Benton Cady grew up playing in White Bear Lake, MN. From a young age, his father sparked his interest in the game, taking him to MN Thunder games when they were still based at NSC in Blaine. While in high school, Coach Cady had the opportunity to play a few friendlies and attend several pro matches in England, cementing his love for the game. He completed his playing career at Lake Forest College in Illinois.
Coach Cady works for ISD 11 as a Special Education Art Teacher and has spent more than a decade working in education across the K-12 spectrum. Also recently married, he and his wife recently welcomed a baby girl to the family whom Coach hopes will someday share his interest in the “beautiful game.”
He is the recipient of the 2021 MN State High School League Assistant Coach of the year award.
Coach Adam Whirley is a product of Maple Grove, MN where he was a successful multi-sport athlete. He was a college wrestler at both Winona State University and briefly at Augsburg University. He found success on the field at a young age not only as a player but as a youth coach, which sparked his love of working with student athletes.
Coach Whirley is a passionate and dedicated coach with over 10 years of experience in developing young talent and leading teams to success on and off the field. Soccer has been one of his many lifelong passions, and he has dedicated himself to helping players of all ages reach their full potential.
Coach Whirley is a Physical Education and Health teacher in District 279. A recent newlywed, he has two sons; a six year old whom he coaches at the U6 level, and a 1 year-old. He hopes both of his sons share his love of sports and coaching some day.
